Table Tennis to benefit from International Federation

 

The Gambia Table Tennis Association will receive 10 tables from the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) along with the materials put around the table to stop the ball from falling. The materials will arrive in the country anytime from now.

 

 

 

The Number One Sports Shop along the Kairaba Avenue will also provide the tennis balls and rackets which will be distributed to schools across the country. One of the Institutions that will benefit from the package will be the University of the Gambia.

 

 

 

This information was revealed to Observer Sports by the president of the Gambia Table Tennis Association (GTTA), Peter Prom who added that the materials will go a long way in helping his association achieve its goals of nationwide participation and the decentralisation of the sport in The country.

 

 

 

In another development, the president of The Association revealed that its secretary general, Oumie Jallow, will also benefit from a two-week Youth Leadership Course to be held in Germany.

 

 

 

Peter Prom revealed that the Youth Leadership Course is a two-week training camp involving different countries across the globe and it is an ITTF sponsorship camp in partnership with the United Nations Office for Sports Development.
